In 2009 a series of five anonymously produced ink stamped vinyl recorded releases appeared in the global techno scene under the mysterious guise “Traversable Wormhole. The series released exclusively on vinyl. The sound of “Traversable Wormhole is a unique signature of sci-fi laden techno music with gaps of time, space & bass in between sound & rhythm. Within a month’s time of it’s conception Volume 2 of the series appeared and a huge buzz was soon amassed on the project. Accusations on who was the artist behind the project ran wild. People all over the techno scene had made theories to who was behind it. The project quickly received huge support from many of the world’s most renowned techno shops such as Rub A Dub , Hardwax, Juno & Decks. Word traveled fast through the wormhole and it was soon reported that globally respected dj’s such as Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Mathew Herbert, Ryan Elliot, Andrew Galluzi, Surgeon, Function, Frankie Bones, Surgeon, DJ Deep & Radioslave were all supporting the sound of TW. With the series fast approaching into further galaxies with the appearance of Vol 3. Techno cult blogsite MNMLSSG (http://mnmlssg.blogspot.com) tracked down TW via Twitter. A sonar ping was sent back to the popular blog and soon a “Traversable Wormhole” mix appeared anonymously on the site, receiving rave reviews. Their were also reports through the anonymous “Traversable Wormhole” Myspace profile that dj’s from the dubstep scene were supporting the songs that had more of a broken beat structure in the series. As the series transgressed to Vol 5 by the year end of 2009 the mystique of anonymity continued to grow. The original version of "Wake Up" also did not see many obstacles on itʼs way to reach attention of a still growing number of very well known artists within the international electronic music scene. Several times before, "Wake Up" proved to be a killer track that is definitively capable of making party crowds go off! This time the remix is coming straight from inside the machines of Glasgow based DJ and Producer Harvey McKay, already known from releases on famous Some Records, Audio Therapy or Perc Trax to name a few. The bassline dips, the beat scuttles along, and the synth glistens nervously between all kinds of curious crackling and fizzling, gradually causing the contours of your surroundings to blur. But why would you want to bring these shapes into focus? Ellen glides through the night, tastes madness, breathes in the mist and holds her gaze on the glittering coloured lights. dB_24 is the sound division of “Ded Blokkz”, a global concept exploring the urban life and similarities between lost industrial areas and natural landscapes, with sound and images. It is made with analog sounds and graphic shapes, with different degrees of abstraction. This project started in 2007 after 14 years of various electronic music production including Drum & Bass, Electronica, and Abstract/Electro Hip Hop.The aim is to go back to the early electronic sound of Electro and Techno. It is a dedication to Detroit and Berlin for the influence they had on electronic music, especially in the 80/90’s dB_24 is a very versatile project with both old school & experimental modern tracks.The production is made eclusively with the classic analog gear with additional new machines as Acidlab Miami. About AC_02 : The first record on the label presented various artists, and two tracks from dB_24. On the same model this record will present the dB_24 project with tracks of various influences. One side features 2 electro tracks, the other side features 2 techno tracks. Two records will be released with this concept to show the whole dB_24 sound possibilities. The record is called Urban Works, it is mostly inspired by the power and aesthetics of building machines.
